Beanpole Boy

It's hard to believe, but Ely will be 2 months old on Monday! Due to insurance issues, we actually went for his 2-month doctor's appointment a little early last Monday. He is now 23.5 inches (75th percentile) and 10 pounds, 10 ounces (25th percentile), so we have a very tall, skinny, beanpole boy! His head is 40cm in circumference (60th percentile), up 4 whole centimeters since birth. He is very difficult to dress because all the newborn and 0-3 month clothes are too short for him in the torso and legs, but 3 month clothes are far too baggy since he is not chubby at all. In fact, when he flexes, you can see his 6-pack abs!

Ely is doing very well otherwise. He is a morning kid and is all smiles until around noon. He gets crabby at night and you could say he is "mildly" colicky. Nothing we can't handle, but sometimes annoying nonetheless. He definitely has only four moods, just like his dad: extremely happy, extremely mad, hungry, or sleeping. But we aren't complaining, because as of last week, he is sleeping through the night from 8 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. with only one night that didn't follow that pattern. He is becoming more and more fun everyday and we are loving it!
